Diet....?

Like any normal girl, you will complain you are fat despite being size 0 or even 00. Us girls must have terrible self-esteem problems and those who don't.... are liars. I been super lazy since I been on my 2 year break. I attempted to do exercise videos on a daily routine: cardio, yoga, aerobics, streaches. But I get bored and lazy because I can't push myself. I went hiking because it's "the best exercise" but the weather isn't my friend and I need a partner since I don't feel safe to go alone. I don't want to build muscles but want to be slim and toned. Most important I want a healthy lifestyle, being slim is just part of the deal.   My bf tells me I'm borderline underweight on my BMI but I argue that eating better and exercise will keep me healthy and hopefully loose a few pounds. I don't "diet" I hate it, but I want to live a healthier lifestyle which is really a lifelong diet fml.

I am very vain and love to doll up and with a recent wedding I have to attend, I am determined to look good! because I bought an awesome dress. It's Jessica McClintock. I LOVE her dresses and think they are sooo pretty. I kept trying on her dresses unintentionally and fell in love with many of them but were too short! fml for being tall and slightly skinny? It's this one but it a dark purple. They probably tied up the train in the back to a bow so it's shorter. I preferred it long and floating in the back.

I taken nutrition class and done lots of research on loosing wight and being healthy, and even though I know how to, I am always too lazy or I cannot restrict my eating very well. I eat pretty healthy but it doesn't help me loose weight if I don't exercise!

Tips to diet being healthy

  • Don't restrict your eating habits! If you are looking to loose weight in the long run (plus being healthy) and not for a few days, eat normally. Your body needs different nutrition and the best thing is eat in moderation. Healthy body will have good metabolism and burn off what you eat. If not, it can screw you over and decide to store fat. Like my professor once said, think caveman. Cavemen don't know when the next meal will come so our body is design to get fat. If you train your body so that it doesn't have to worry about hunger, it will stop saving your fat. Seems legit.
    • Some say get rid of all carbs but that is very WRONG. There are good and bad carbs. You need carb for the fiber and other nutrition and in the long run will help you loose weight. Grains make you feel fuller so you will eat less and snack less junk. The bad carbs tho are probably the ones you love like white rice, pasta, white bread basically anything that's light in color. You need to stick to wheat and whole grains. It will keep your body healthy. One of my fav snacks is popcorn. It is whole grain cuz eat kernel is one grain so it's healthy, yummy and low calorie. Just stay away from the super salty and buttery ones.
    • It's good to stick to lean meats like chicken and fish but having some beef or bacon isn't a crime! MODERATION! Luckily I am pretty much a vegetarian as I don't have to eat meat but will eat it if it's delicious. I only save my stomach for good meats like prime rib, filet mignon... drools
    • It's okay to snack junk if you must or chocolate just not too much! But I suggest just get rid of it and treat yourself like once ever few months... or even a year
    • Drink lots of water. Helps cleans, stay moist and pretty wtf
  • Eat more early in the day and less during nights. Meaning eat a big breakfast lunch snacks and light dinner. You don't need the extra food when you are sleeping right?
  • Cook your meals, processed food have lots of junk.. like junk food. When you cook you know you are getting the real deal, less salt, preservative, oils = more healthy. Genius!
  • Exercise! The food you are eating needs to be burn somehow right? It's simple math, to loose weight, more calories burn than calories taken in. Of course your body burns calories on its own as well to function so just stick to about an hour a day is healthy, but start with 30 min a day than increase 10 min a week.
Those are some scientific claims I read, learn throughout the year. That said these are tips to loose wight that might not work for you as

  • Some say eat fruits before a meal. It aids digestion and in long run help you increase metabolism and loose weight
  • Changing eating habits. For example the time you eat and how much you eat. I never tried this as I heard sticking to same routine and eating habits will decease your cravings.
  • Eat slowly cuz your brain is actually dumb and takes awhile to process you are full
  • Celery has zero calories because the amount of energy to burn celery is higher that the calorie of celery. Doesn't mean I encourage you to just eat celery but adding it to your meals will be good for you. It also has lots of fiber so good for digestion. As I have said many times, digestion is very important for your body to stay healthy and slim
  • Simple exercise is enough. I tired crazy aerobic and dance but I can't keep up and it will end in 10min so I do things like speed walking and hula hoop. I like crunches, girly push ups and stretches. I think it's more important to exercise for an hour than doing a vigorous workout for 10min. Might burn the same calories but your body isn't getting the same workout.
  • Don't get light stuff instead eat less of regular stuff. They had to make it taste like the real deal so they  adds more junk and doesn't fill you up. So you end up hungry and eat the real thing anyways

My main advice is EAT IN MODERATION and eat all types of food. If you think eating a salad will make you skinny you are sooo wrong! You will trigger hunger hormones that will make you eat like a monster. Which is why carbs are good for you, well the good ones to keep you full. And then exercise an hour a day.

It's an never ending process so it's okay to cave into delicious junk food but remember to try to live healthy.
